Georgia Boot is one of the well-known companies that manufacture safety shoes and boots. They have been in the industry for more than 80 years now. So, recently, I’ve come to a decision to try one of their newest pairs. And here is my Georgia Boot 8-Inch Work Boots Review.
My previous lineman boots lasted for years. In fact, some of them are still in good condition. And I know for a fact that they are all of the good qualities. But, I want to purchase a new pair so that I could very well mix my appearance and style.
I’ve been using the Georgia Boot 8-Inch Work Boots for a few weeks now. And I have a few points to share with anyone, especially lineworkers who are looking to buy anytime soon a pair of lineman boots.
A Quick Look On Georgia Boot 8-Inch Work Boots Review
This pair of boots is largely designed for men. But, due to its style and appearance, more female lineworkers are seen to use this on a daily basis. This is also probably the reason why I chose to purchase this.
Apparently, it offers three different colors. You may choose from Tumbled Chocolate, Brown, and Chocolate tones. If you want a lighter tone of brown, you would prefer the Tumbled Chocolate. But, I chose the Chocolate one.
The height of this boot is 8 inches. This is actually the shortest pair of lineman boots that I have since I always tend to choose the 10-inches or 12. I am still looking forward to meeting my ultimate comfort with its height. So, if you’re just like me who tends to move quickly every now and then, you may find yourself uncomfortable with the 8-inches.
Nevertheless, it comes with removable polyurethane orthotic insert which counteracts the comfortability issues that I have. Moreover, the insole comes with a soft cushion and has a collar that is fully-lined and cushioned as well.
As for the support, the steel shank gives ultimate ankle support that also provides comfort and security.
Now, this Georgia Boot does not come with insulation. But, it is 100% waterproof. And you can really ensure this since the company is known for this specific feature. Also, I have tried soaking it on water. The air really comes in but not the water.
It does not come with a steel toe as well. So, it’s safe to say that lineworkers can largely use this pair for climbing purposes.
The material of this pair is 100% grain-leather. But, for some reason, I have seen a few consumers who are very disappointed because their pairs have broken easily.
On a personal note, durability has something to do as well with the activities of the users. And some may tend to abuse these pairs. But while the Georgia Boot 8-Inch Work Boots are not that heavy-duty, with proper care and maintenance, it could last.
